Dolphin DNA
A Visionary Surf Art Painting by
Peter Eglington
"Hu da man on dis planet cuz"
"Da man dat dolphin, hey bruddah"
If love of surfing equates to time spent in the water, love of the ocean,
surfing the deepest, carving the most radical anti-directional turns, making
every air, accelerating with the most speed and having no problem with
visitors to their area and sharing waves, then for me the greatest surfers
of all time are the dolphins.
There are thousands of surfers worldwide, past and present, who could
lay claim to being legends of the surfing culture. The ones I have chosen
for this painting resonate strongly for me as symbols of their era.
They are the unknown Hawaiian surfer from last Century, the Duke, Tom
Blake, Dora,Lopez, David Rastovich.
The DNA spiral continues to churn and give birth to countless numbers
of Souls. We have the gift. We choose our Dreams, We choose our Waves.
We choose our Destiny
In 1983 a Merman Jimi turned to be.
