The Aloha Spirit and the Rhythms
of Creation
This painting was created in gratitude to the race of souls who originally
inhabited the land of my birth, living a life of gratitude and deep reverence
for the spirit of this land which is permeated with the essence of the
original creator beings - The Dreamtime Ancestors
These spirits gave birth to the awesome realm of deep oceans, endless
shorelines, the sun and moon for our warmth, nurturance and tides, the
wind, the endless lifeforms (not the least of which are the corals) and
the pure mystery and beauty of the waves.
This same consciousness pervaded all tribal cultures and is beautifully
exemplified in the Aloha spirit of Polynesia with its sense of oneness
with all of creation ,the pure joy of creation ,the simple fun of Surfing
with all of its majesty and the ability to share waves, those gifts from
the rhythms of creation.
The Aloha spirit still exists in outposts far from the technological
nightmare of modern "civilisation", even at times within the overcrowded
and polluted surf spots of the planet.
May we all begin to realise the inherent joy in this humble, open and
gracious way of living.
May we all come to feel and be respectful of the true spirit of this
Great southern land of Australia and its original peoples
