Mayan Zodiac Totem Animals
Mixed Media - 92 inches x 82 inches
"Whats the tide doin'?" has got
to be one of the most frequently asked questions from surfers worldwide.
For a culture so dependant on the
power of the moon, its amazing we have so little knowledge of its cycles
or place of honour at the centre of so many of the earlier cultures of
this planet.
Few people realise that the League
of Nations [forerunner of the United Nations] proclaimed that on January
1st, 1933, a 13 moon 28 day calendar would replace the dysfunctional Gregorian
calendar which has no relevance to or alignement with any natural cycles
on this planet.
From 500 suggested new calendars
the 13 Moon - 28 day calendar was the most popular with 98% of businesses
polled supporting it. The Vatican opposed it and mustered the support needed
to defeat it.
Wonder why?!!!

13 Moon Calendar Change Peace Movement
The sacred 13 moon calendar has
been in use for over 5000 years on this planet and followed by such legendary
cultures as the Incan, Druids, Essene, Mayan, Polynesian and Egyptian.
This form of the 13 moon calendar
is based on the Dreamspell calendar and uses as its totems the animals
from the Mayan Zodiac. The essence of each of these spirits most closely
resonates with the theme and feel of each of the 13 moons we all pass through
each year on this planet as we journey around our Sun.
The uppermost point of the great
circle corresponds to July 26th on the Gregorian calendar. This point is
chosen as the starting point of each year of the Dreamspell calendar and
the 13 moon calendar. At this time each year the brightest fixed star in
our heavens, Sirius, rises in conjunction with our Sun. Long held by the
ancients to be the dispenser of spiritual guidance and nurturance it is
a fitting symbol for the new year energies.
The 2 outer uppermost circles represent
the great shield of the Galactic Federation in their Yin and Yang aspects. The
2 lower outer images are of the Tzolkin or sacred round, the galactic Matrix,
the chart of the 260 distinct frequencies weaving through creation.
On the outer edge of the great circle
are 364 flames in repeating rainbow colours, 28 for each of the 13 moon
months.
The 13 Moons each have a Totem animal
